I Created a Blog Today!
It's Firday afternoon at the Union County Carnegie Library where I do most of my computer work at the present time We live so far out in the woods that I cannot get any good internet service, so I use my cell at home and come here to do major things and print etc. I don't know what to say, or who will read this blog...but as I said in my profile...we are back in Union SC after living in the Charlotte/Lake Norman Area since 1982. Don's mother is 89 and he helps her out alot....She is still going strong! His twin brother Dan lives with his wife Brenda in Murrells Inlet, SC and works for Keller Williams Realty. His sister Linda has a home in Southern Pines, NC and also in Murrells Inlet, SC. Today Don left early to take his mother to do some errands. I got up at 6am and made the coffee and ate my cereal and did my daily bible study...Sunday School Lesson, Oswald Chambers, and Joyce Meyer Devotionals. Must get that "food" early in the day to set the pace for the day. Found an old friend from Charlotte, Debbie Woods, through her daughter April on facebook. She has a blog like this and after viewing hers I thought it would be a good idea to start one myself! Thanks Debbie! I have recently connected via internet/facebook & classmates.com with lots of old friends....even going back to 1961 when I was just 15 yrs old. I found an old diary that I kept then and from the names I had written down in there during that time period, I have searched and found alot of people. That has been fun. Communicating with people that you haven't seen in 44 years or more! Some of my best friends from college are going to get together soon and have some fun talking over old times. We have already been doing that on Facebook. I notice that I have changed the type on this blog, but, oh well...it is readable. Hit the wrong button I guess. I have one sister still living in the Atlanta area, Wynne Vance and a brother Bill living in Reno, NV. Both parents passed away years ago and I thought of the good time they must be having in Heaven today! That was an unusual thought. Well, guess that is about all for now....OH...CANT FORGET....Gov.Sanford here in SC vetoed continued funding for this Library I am in..(named the Best Small Library In The USA 2009)....but petitions were signed, we were on the local news here and in Spartanburg about the cuts in funding......and guess what....the legislators in SC over rode the Gov. veto!!!!! This is a wonderful Library and it would have been quite a loss to Union if this vetostood. It is 3:16pm now and I have other things to do on computer so I will close for now. Hope all my friends and family have a great weekend and I be back online soon. Carol
